Alberta D. Earl

December 17, 1924 — September 13, 2012

Alberta (Derfler) Earl passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 13, 2012, at Park House Providence Pointe in Royersford where she had been a resident.  Alberta was born in Norristown on December 17, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Catherine and Charles Derfler.   She was a graduate of Norristown High School. She was the loving wife of the late Harry Earl, Sr.  Alberta and her husband were founding members of Visitation BVM Roman Catholic Church in Trooper, and she was a volunteer at the church rectory aiding in the preparation of meals for the priests who resided there.  She also was a frequent participant who helped in the cleaning of the church.  She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed reading and doing crafts such as ceramics. Surviving are two sons: David (JoAnn) of East Norriton and Harry (Lynn) of Schwenksville; two sisters:  Joan (James) Bailey of West Norriton and Loretta Bradbury of Boyertown; one brother: Karl Derfler of Nebraska; three grandchildren:  Amanda and Melanie Earl of Schwenksville and Jennifer McIntosh of Sterling, VA; three great grandchildren:  Aidan, Nolan and Maggie Anne McIntosh of Sterling, VA.   She was pre-deceased by a sister, Betty Morris, a son, Charles Earl, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Earl.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday 9-9:50 AM and   Funeral Mass 10 AM at Visitation BVM Church.   Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Norristown, In lieu of flowers Donations in her memory to Visitation BVM Church 196 North Trooper Rd. Norristown, PA 19403 appreciated.   Services entrusted to Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, P.C.  Condolences: www.MeyersFH.com Viewing Wednesday 9-9:50 AM and   Funeral Mass 10 AM at Visitation BVM Church.   Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery. Donations in her memory to Visitation BVM Church appreciated.
