David Anthony Gordon

David Anthony Gordon passed away suddenly on Monday, September 2, 2019, at the age of 64. Born in Norristown, David was the son of the late Frank M. and Theresa (née DiGiacomo) Gordon. A graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, class of ’73, and Gwynedd Mercy University, he joined the United States Marine Corps after high school, and was stationed in Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines as an embassy guard. He was honorably discharged, and worked as a diver in Hong Kong before returning home to continue diving and resume his security career. He retired from Merck in Upper Gwynedd as a security supervisor in 2005. David started his own security firm as a private investigator and specialized in college campus security. He was most recently employed at Hardy Machine LLC in Hatfield. David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara (née Savo); and his children, Frank and Olivia, who were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Brian; sister, Linda; and nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his sister, Roxanne. Relatives and friends are invited to David’s viewing at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:45 am; followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
