David Skeen Stephenson

David Skeen Stephenson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 in the Meadows at Shannondell in Audubon, PA. He was 82.Before moving to Audubon in 2009, Dave resided for nearly 50 years in King of Prussia, PA, where he worked as an aerospace engineer for General Electric. He was a Navy veteran, an enthusiastic member of the Bryn Mawr Mainliners Barbershop Chorus and a former member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He was a kind, curious and intelligent man who loved music, travel, airplanes, his friends and family, and most of all Peggy, his wife of 61 years.Dave was born in Atlanta GA on Dec. 2, 1929 to Melvin and Thelma (Skeen) Stephenson.He is survived by his wife Margaret (Attenweiler) Stephenson; sons David C. Stephenson of Charlotte Hall, MD and Thomas A. Stephenson and his wife Donna of Pottstown, PA; daughter Anne M. Stephenson and her husband Ed Montini of Phoenix, AZ, and grandchildren Kate, Sam, Sara, Brian, Lauren, Zachary and Chad. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Thomas Stephenson, and his granddaughter Ryane.Friends and family are invited to a casual gathering to celebrate Dave's life on Sept. 15th from noon to 4 p.m. at Chadwick's (Club at Shannondell) in Audubon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dave's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia PA 19106.
