Gabriel Augustine passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. He was 98. Mr. Augustine was a resident of Rehoboth Beach, DE and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. He worked in construction as an Operating Engineer for many years. Gabriel was a former member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He was a US Army veteran of WW II. Being a veteran was something Gabriel was very proud of. He was a member of the 78th Infantry Division and was a two-time president of their association. Gabriel was a hard worker. He was so loving and dedicated to his family. He made a friend everywhere he went with his infectious smile and kind heart. Born in Repaupo, NJ on January 1, 1924, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Rosa (Mariano) Augustine; and the husband of the late Eleanor M. (Sorrentino) Augustine. Surviving is his loving family including a daughter, Judith A. Augustine (Doug Montayne); a granddaughter, Gabriella Giammarco (Rob Dronitsky); two great-grandchildren, Julia and Gabe Giammarco; his beloved companion, Margaret “Peg” Malescio; many nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl; and three brothers: Pete, Joe and John. Relatives & friends are invited to Gabriel’s viewing at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:40 am. Eulogy will be at 10:50 am and Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gabriel’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
