Shelby Keating Brown, 29, of Jenkintown, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 25, 2024. Shelby was born on January 31, 1995, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She graduated from Princess Anne High School, with Honors, from the International Baccalaureate program. Continuing her education, she attended Drexel University receiving her Masters in Biomedical Engineering. After Drexel, she was one of the original five employees at Century Therapeutics, where she attained the position of Scientist in a career she absolutely loved.
Always planning her next adventure, Shelby lived her life with a love of travel. As a child, her family was stationed with the Navy in Japan where they had the opportunity to travel to China, South Korea and Australia - - it was here that she caught the travel bug. Continuing at Drexel, she persuaded her then boyfriend, David, to study abroad at University College Cork, Ireland. There they traveled every weekend visiting 15 countries including Iceland, Spain and Morocco. Shelby and Dave continued traveling in marriage, honeymooning in Southeast Asia with subsequent trips to Hawaii, the American Southwest, New Zealand and Peru. She continues to inspire us all to get out, be proactive and to seek out new experiences/adventures every day.
Shelby is survived by her parents Toni and Bob Keating, her sister Samantha Skelton (Jeff), her brother Spencer Keating, her niece Ava Skelton, her nephew Oliver Skelton, her adored Mini-Bernadoodle Guinness and her loving husband David Brown.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Condolences can be made at www.McGoldrickFH.com
