Stella V. (Grabowski) Difillippo

Stella V. (Grabowski) DiFillippo, a homemaker, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Brandywine Senior Suites in E. Norriton, PA. She was 96. Mrs. DiFillippo was a resident of E. Norriton, PA and a long time resident of Bridgeport, PA for over 74 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA.Born in Phoenixville, PA on May 7, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Zlotnik) Grabowski. Stella was the wife of the late Alexander "Sandy" S. DiFillippo, who died in 1984. Surviving is her loving family including two daughters, Jeanette V. Pultorak of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Dolores M. Salamone and her husband, Richard of E. Norriton, PA; two grandchildren, Cheryl Anne and Christopher Joseph; four great-grandchildren: Ava Grace, Cydney Alexa, Jack William and Luke Joseph; a sister, Adelaide Marie Slobodzian of Quakertown, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dawn Marie Salamone-Kamen; two brothers, Leo Grabowski and Carl Grabowski; and three sisters: Victoria Lewis, Jean Bergman and Frances Williams.Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 12noon. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. Her viewing will be Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:50am, at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stella's memory to the 2011 Relay for Life of Upper Merion PA, 480 Norristown Rd., Blue Bell, PA 19422.
