William Schmitt

William Schmitt passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Penn Hospice @ Rittenhouse in Philadelphia, PA. He was 89. Mr. Schmitt was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a supervisor in the inventory control department of Cochrane Co. in King of Prussia.Mr. Schmitt was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving in North Africa.Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 15, 1923, he was a son of the late Emile and Lena (Kressenbuch) Schmitt. He was the husband of the late Ruth M. (Cain) Schmitt, who died in 1996. Surviving is her loving family including a son, William Leis and his wife, Charlene, of Parksburg, PA; a daughter, Margaret R. "Peggy" Keim of King of Prussia, PA; and a granddaughter, Dayna A. Leis. He was preceded in death by a grandson, William M. Keim IV. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
