Alan Paul Babbitt, Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. He was 49. Alan was a resident of Spring City, PA. He worked as a service department receiver for Streamlite in Eagleville, PA. Alan enjoyed Harley-Davidsons, yard sales and estate sales. He loved being a handyman and was a true ‘jack of all trades’. Born in Abington, PA on May 22, 1967, he was a son of Gladys May Babbitt of Norristown, PA. Surviving is his loving family including his mother; his wife of 6 years, Ann Marie (Phillips) Babbitt; his children: Amanda F. Bell of Hershey, PA, Stephanie N. Bell of Camp Hill, PA, Julia M. Phillips of Spring City, PA, Alan P. Babbitt, Jr. of Spring City, PA and Kyle M. Babbitt of Norristown, PA; two grandchildren, Gavin Sourbeer and Olive Morgan; three brothers: Dennis DeSantis of Trevose, PA, Bernard R. Babbitt of Norristown and David Babbitt of Norristown; a sister, Teresa; many other loving family members; and his dog, Skittles. A celebration of Alan’s life will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 12 noon to 2:00 pm, at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alan’s memory to his wife, Ann Marie Babbitt, c/o The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA 19405, to help defray the cost of the funeral.
