Albert “Babber” G. Van Houten, Jr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Suburban Woods Health & Rehab in E. Norriton, PA. He was 82 years old. Babber was a longtime resident of Bridgeport, PA. He graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in Norristown, class of 1962. After high school, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in Germany from 1966-1968, after which he served the rest of his time in the Army Reserves until 1972. Babber worked as a supervisor for Danella Construction in Plymouth Meeting for 39 years. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed his time playing softball for SSS.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 18, 1944, he was the son of the late Vera (Ross) and Albert G. Van Houten, Sr.
Albert is survived by his nephew, Christian Karlin; as well as many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Linda A. Metros and his nephew, Eric Karlin.
Services and interment will be private for the family.
