Albert F. 'Al' Capaldo

Albert F. "Al" Capaldo passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Alabama. He was 69. Mr. Capaldo was a resident of E. Norriton, PA. He worked as a plumber for Local 690 in Philadelphia, PA. Al was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Norristown, PA and the Bridgeport Bocce Club. He was a handyman for all his family and friends, but his most cherished pursuit was spending time and clowning around with his grandchildren, "Pop-Pop's Crew".Mr. Capaldo was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. He served from 1967 to 1969 and received a Purple Heart. Born in Norristown, PA on August 3, 1944, he was a son of the late Ralph and Sue (Fazio) Capaldo. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 50 years, Grace M. (Falco) Capaldo; three daughters: Michelle M. Tirendi and her husband, Thomas, of Lansdale, PA, Nicole M. Peacock and her husband, John, of W. Norriton, PA and Corrine C. Keane and her husband, Michael, of W. Norriton, PA; five grandchildren: Sydney, Charlotte, Alayna, Michael and Sean; a brother, Ralph A. Capaldo of Smyrna, DE; two sisters-in-law, Regina Capaldo and Marlene Mash; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph D. Capaldo.Relatives & friends are invited to Al's Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church, 714 DeKalb St., Norristown, PA 19401 on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Augustus C. Puleo, Pastor. His viewing is Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:50am, at the church.
