Albert Ed' Phillips, Sr.

Albert "Ed" Phillips, Sr. passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 65. Mr. Phillips was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as the Director of Transportation for St. Edmond's Home for Children in Rosemont, PA. Previously he worked for AT & T for 33 years. Ed was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in King of Prussia, PA.Mr. Phillips was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving from 1966 to 1969 in Vietnam.Born in Glenolden, PA on November 10, 1946, he was a son of the late Albert Taft Phillips and Catherine (Schipski) Phillips. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 40 years, Bernadette P. (Pastore) Phillips; a son, Albert "Ed" Phillips, Jr. and his wife, Tina of Sanatoga, PA; two daughters, Heather Mary Sznoluch and her husband, Paul of Sanatoga, PA and Tina Michelle Phillips of Sanatoga, PA; two granddaughters, Hannah Rose & Elizabeth Jo Phillips; a sister, Karen Leggett of Glenolden, PA; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lora Oakland. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 132 E. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00am. Officiating will be Pastor Julie DeWerth. Ed's viewing will be Saturday morning from 9 to 10:50am, at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's memory to St. Edmond's Home for Children, 320 S.
