Albert J. Urben passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 76. Mr. Urben was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He graduated from LaSalle University in 1964 with a Bachelors in Psychology. Albert worked in print sales and after retiring, worked for Costco in the photo department for over 16 years. He was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia and was an auxiliary member of the churches Legion of Mary. Albert was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in King of Prussia. He was very devoted to the Virgin Mary, his church, and his family. Albert was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving for almost 6 years and retiring as a captain. Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Mary L. (Landis) Urbowicz. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 52 years, Ellen J. Urben; three sons: Chris J. Urben and his wife, Avonda, and their children, Ava and Christopher, of Denmark, Michael T. Urben of King of Prussia and Scott J. Urben and his fiancé, Michelle, of New York, NY. Relatives & friends are invited to Albert’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd. King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 am. His viewing will be on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am, at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Albert’s memory to Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 or the Legion of Mary, c/o MDP church.
