Aldwin K. Rattliff, Sr.

Aldwin Kim Rattliff Sr., also known as “Ratt”, affectionately called Kim, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 . He was born on November 14, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to James Rattliff Sr. and Gladys Rattliff. Kim was raised on the Southwest side of Chicago in Leclaire Courts, where he met his first wife, Debra and together, they had a son, Aldwin Kim Rattliff Jr. There he enjoyed working for the Chicago Police Department as a traffic controller for many years. He later had a host of other jobs, including the Ellucian Company in Malvern, PA. He moved to Philadelphia in the late 1980’s to pursue new and better opportunities with his father and brothers. A few years after coming to Philadelphia he met Cynthia Fleming and they married August 10, 1996. Kim had many interests but found his passion in information technology where he achieved many certifications and success as a tech support specialist. Kim had a zealous personality, he had a knack for telling funny stories, his laugh was infectious, he was energetic, he loved animals but most of all dogs, cars and shoes, but most of all to those who knew him best he was encouraging to his loved ones. He was baptized at Bethlaham Baptist Church in Spring House PA by The Reverend Charles W. Quann. He sang in the men's choir, volunteered many times to feed the homeless and participated in many events at the church. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Cynthia Rattliff; his son, Aldwin Kim Rattliff Jr.; two step-children, Bruce McIntyre Jr. and Tecora McIntyre; three brothers: Glenn Moore, Michael Rattliff Sr., and James Rattliff Jr.; one step-brother, Vernon Floyd; one sister, Keisha Rattliff; his late father’s wife, Rene Rattliff; 4 sisters-in-law; 4 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Kim's viewing on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405. Interment will be private.
