Alexander T. DeMarco Jr. (Tom) born Albany N.Y. On 9/12/36 died 5/31/17. 80 years old. Served proudly two years in Marine Corps 1954-1955 Served in Japan. Married Helen Whitmore had three sons Thomas A. DeMarco(Anna) Daniel DeMarco (Fay) and Lawrence DeMarco(Kathleen). Married Clara Klein deceased who had a Son and two Daughters, Robert Klein deceased, Anne Marie Gangloff (Bill) and Kathleen Burns (Gary). Tom was raised in the Brewery town section of Philadelphia and moved to Boston when his Father was injured in a work accident. Later moved back to Philadelphia as a teen and lived in Mayfair the rest of his life. Is survived by 14 Grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Tom was an entertainer at heart always had a joke or two to tell you. He would entertain the neighbors with his Al Jolson shows with the full black face makeup and jacket and white gloves. Doing lip sinking and pantomime act. All the kids and adults would sit on the lawn and watch him do his show. Tom worked in the Factories as a sheet metal worker and foreman for various companies most of his life. In the later years he drove a taxi. Tom will be missed by all his family and friends. Visitation for Family and Friends 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6645 Torresdale Ave. (At Unruh Ave.) in Philadelphia, PA. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
