Alexander James Mcgarvey, Jr.

Alexander James McGarvey, Jr. passed away suddenly of heart related complication on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. He was 42. Mr. McGarvey was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a mechanical supervisor for Medimune in N.E. Philadelphia. Alex attended the former Bishop Kenrick High School and then obtained his universal license in heating, plumbing and air conditioning. He was an avid fishermen, boater and loved riding his motorcycle with his friends. Born in Norristown, PA on January 28, 1970, he was a son of Alexander James McGarvey, Sr. of Bridgeport, PA and Maria (Rossi) Profrock and husband, Ron Sr. of W. Norriton, PA. Surviving is his loving family including his parents; wife, Lucy McGarvey of Sewell, NJ; two sons, Alexander James "AJ" McGarvey, III and Brandon A. McGarvey; maternal grandmother, Dora Rossi of W. Norriton, PA; a step-son, Christopher Bustamante and his wife, Gabby, of Kansas City, MA; a step-daughter, Ilene I. DiCiurcio and her husband, Gabe, of Conshohocken, PA; three step-grandchildren: Dominic, Christian and Alyssa; four step-brothers: Ronald Profrock, III of W. Norriton, PA, Michael Profrock of Chalfont, PA, Christopher Profrock and James Profrock of Lafayette Hills, PA; his companion, Lina Fryer and her children: Andrew, Alexis and Nicole of W. Norriton, PA; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Albert C. Rossi, Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Alexander and Carmella McGarvey. Alex's Prayer Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 8:00 pm. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7:50 pm, at the funeral home.
