Alfred R. Funke

Alfred R. Funke passed away suddenly on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was 86. Mr. Funke was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a machinist for the former Philadelphia Gear Corp. in King of Prussia. Alfred was a member of the Philadelphia Gear Retirees Club. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 9, 1925, he was a son of the late Rudolf ""Robert"" M. Funke and Bertha (Kanya) Funke. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Anne M. (Kuhn) Funke; two sons, Alfred J. Funke and his wife, Judith of Oaks, PA and William R Funke and his wife, Sarah of West Chester, PA; two daughters, Christine M. Woryk and her husband, Richard of Surfside, SC and Nancy A. Funke of King of Prussia, PA; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
