Alfred T Hammer

Alfred T. Hammer age 95 passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Wyncote Place Senior Living. He was born in Philadelphia on May 31, 1928 to the late George and Anna (nee Neminger) Hammer. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Ann Marie (nee Greco) Hammer and two brothers, Thomas, and Norman and wife Lois Walter Hammer.

Fred retired from Merck Pharmaceutical Co. where he worked as a machinist. Fred enjoyed many hobbies included, hunting, metal work, Jewelry making, and wood working to name a few. Fred was also an avid automobile and cuckoo clock enthusiast. Fred was a United States Army veteran.

Fred is survived by a sister-in-law, Marie Bonanno, and Merry Wrye Hammer. several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday July 1, 2023 from 10-10:50 am followed by a funeral mass at 11 am at St. Mary’s Church 40 Spring Mt. Road, Schwenksville, Pa 19473. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Norristown, Pa.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Alfred’s name may be made to: The Saint Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
