Alice Anne Kocher

Anne Kocher, 85, of King of Prussia, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday April 12, 2013, after a 2 year battle with cancer. As Anne had always wanted, her loving family was by her side.   Anne and her husband Bill, who were married almost 63 years, moved to their present residence in January 1960, where they raised their four children.  Anne is survived by her husband Bill, their four children Linda, Leigh, Carol, William, their spouses, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.   During Anne’s earlier child rearing days, she was very active in scouting activities, school PTA meetings, and volunteering at the local swim club, where she taught many of the neighborhood children how to swim. Later on, Anne joined the Century 21 John McAllister Real Estate firm as an associate broker where she won many awards. When her husband, Bill, retired from General Electric, they spent their winters in St Petersburg, Florida.  Anne’s continued love for the water and her desire to help others brought her to teach many of the senior members in her community how to swim. Summers were spent in King of Prussia, where Anne enjoyed spending time with her family. Most recently, Anne volunteered in the Cabin kitchen located behind Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge Park.   Anne will be missed by her family, friends and community.  She will be remembered by many as the lady with the beautiful smile. Relatives and friend are invited to her viewing on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 10 to 11:30 AM at the Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 N Park Ave, Trooper, PA 19403.  Church service will be held at noon at Washington Memorial Chapel, Route 23 in Valley Forge National Historical Park, Valley Forge, PA 19481.
