Alice M. Weckerly

Alice M. “Mom Mom” (Lynch) Weckerly passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at St. Martha Villa in Downingtown, PA. She was 90. Mrs. Weckerly was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a store clerk for Berlin-Spillane’s in Norristown, PA. Alice was a former member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA.  She liked cooking, cleaning, sewing, especially Christmas decorations and her Nativity collection. Alice also enjoyed vacationing at her house on the Chesapeake. Most of all, Mom Mom loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.    Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 11, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Cummins) Lynch. She was the wife of the late Edward H. Weckerly, who died in 2011. Surviving is her loving family including three daughters: Elizabeth A. "Betty" O'Reilly of Bridgeport, PA, Margaret M. & Dennis Bolognese of Perkiomenville, PA and Alice & Peter Van Veen of Elkton, MD; eight grandchildren: Abby, Katie, Casey, Kathy, Peggy, Chuck, Jennifer and Jeffrey; seven great-grandchildren: Riley, Sam, Sean, Sunny, Sage, Liam and Henry; a sister, Joan & Bill Dyer of Sauquoit, NY; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maryanne Eichler and Emily Reitzel.   Relatives & friends are invited to Alice’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:30 am. Her viewing will be Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:20 am, at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to Holistic Hospice, 1131 Lancaster Ave., Suite 200, Berwyn, PA 19312.
