Andrea-Lea Maria (Andie) Malaney, 78, of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel.
She was born to Dorothy (Haber) and Nathan Sheppard on June 3, 1946. She met Daniel at a Howard Johnson’s where she worked as a waitress. She married Daniel Malaney and they had 2 children: Danielle (Vinnie) [pre-deceased] and Andrew (Norene). They were blessed with four grandchildren: Nathaniel (Ashley), Nicholas (Betthany), Clayton, and Sedona and one great-grandson: Noah. She is survived by her sister Donna.
Andie worked as a nurse at Lower Bucks hospital. Later, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She also held jobs at Loomis Industries and Bucks County Technical High School. She stayed in contact with many of her former co-workers which is testament to what a good friend she was.
Andie was a devout Catholic. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at both Immaculate Conception parish in Levittown and Our Lady of Grace parish in Penndel. Dan and Andie also helped counsel many engaged and married couples through the Marriage Encounter and Engaged Encounter programs.
She spent many years volunteering with the Ladies Association of Conwell-Egan (LACE). Andie was inducted into the Conwell-Egan’s Wall of Fame in 2002 for her countless volunteer hours to the school. With LACE, she enjoyed attending the monthly meetings, mother-son dances, and especially the casino bus trips.
Andie was very proud of her degrees from Bucks County Community College and Rider University.
Dan and Andie loved to visit Town Bank (Cape May), New Jersey. Many evenings were spent watching the sun set on the bay. They always enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren at the shore.
