Andrew S. Garay passed away peacefully on August 10, 2020 at his home in King of Prussia, PA with his loving family by his side. He was 76. Andrew was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bridgeport, PA. He worked as an Arborist Assistant for Upper Merion Twp. Park and Recreation. Andrew was an avid Steelers Fan, and enjoyed landscaping and gardening. He was an US Army Veteran and a served in the National Guards. Born in Norristown on December 2, 1943, he was a son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Causak) Garay. Andrew is survived by his loving family including his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” R. (Katolick) Garay; his children: Andrea Garay, Matthew Garay and his wife, Janelle, and Stephen Garay; 4 grandchildren: Dylan, Mason, Maximus, and Maisy; a brother, Robert Garay; 4 sisters: Patsy Filon, Joan Pierce, Irene Sinnott, and Madeline Sowers; and many loving nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Stephen and Joseph Garay; and 5 sisters: Helen Garay, Anna Mae Reed, Margaret Onoszyko, Elizabeth Dicola, and Theresa Julian. Relatives and friends are invited to Andrew’s viewing on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 8:00am to 10:20 am at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA 19405. Please be advised that only 25 people are allowed inside the funeral home at one time and face masks are required when inside. Please practice social distancing while waiting in line. Funeral Mass will follow at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 at 11:00 am. Face masks and social distancing are required inside the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Bridgeport, PA 19405.
