Angela J. Deluca

Angela J. (nee Giangiulio) DeLuca passed away peacefully at her residence in Bridgeport, PA on July 11, 2024. She was 93 years old. Angela was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Bridgeport and a current member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown. Her faith and family were of the utmost importance to her. Angela was very active in OLMC, with roles including choir director, singer, member of the sodality, and a longtime volunteer at the school. She had a very special devotion to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and was a feast worker for many years. Angela also enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Born in Palombaro, Italy on December 5, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Filippo and Maria Giangiulio. Angela was the beloved wife of Angelo J. DeLuca, who passed away in 1994.

Surviving is her loving family including her son, Mark V. DeLuca (Mary); 2 daughters, Maria D. DeLuca and Toni T. Genovese; daughter-in-law, Patti DeLuca; 6 grandchildren, Angelo DeLuca, Lauren DeLuca (Eric Johnson), Anthony DeLuca (Rebecca Ott), Nicole Cooper (Colton), Joan Genovese, and Rich Genovese (Melody); 4 great grandchildren, Christian Sanfelice, Jr., Clare Johnson, Adam Johnson, and Axel Cooper.

Angela is preceded in death by her son, Joseph A. DeLuca; brother, Phil Giangiulio (Mary); sister, Teresa Nicolo (Joseph); and son-in-law, Rich Genovese.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Angela’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 8:30-10:15am. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Angela’s name to Holy Saviour Church at the above address.
