Angeline "Julie" Roberto

Angeline M. “Julie” (DeNicola) Roberto passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Regina Nursing Center in Norristown, PA. She was 90. Mrs. Roberto was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as a cook for John Wanamaker’s Restaurant in King of Prussia, PA. Julie was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, both in Bridgeport. She was a member of the Mother’s Club at the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. Julie enjoyed gardening and especially liked flowers. She loved to cook, play bingo, scratch-off tickets, word find puzzles, and playing “May I” with her in-laws. Born in Phoenixville, PA on April 2, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Elizabeth (Petrillo) DeNicola; and the wife of the late Louis M. Roberto, Jr., who died in 1974. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Louis M. Roberto, III of Bridgeport; a daughter, Angela M. Gear and her husband, Michael of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Kristy Wynn and her husband, Jason, and Heather Smisko; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Marie Wynn; two sisters, Dolores Yenchick of Mont Clare, PA and Gloria Jean DeNicola of Spring City, PA; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Philip and Joseph DeNicola; and four sisters: Theresa DeNicola, Mary Mastrangelo, Anna Gnias and Lucy Schultz. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA 19405.
