Anita D. Galan, 95, of Tacony, passed away Monday, October 18th, 2021 peacefully, at Holy Redeemer Hospital, in Meadowbrook. Anita was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Mary (Dugan) and John Dittmar. She was the 2nd oldest of four siblings who pre-deceased her. She was the widow of Michael Galan. Anita was a former member of St. Leo the Great Church, St. Leo's Choir and the St. Leo's Bereavement Group. She had worked as a Receptionist/Typist prior to retiring. Anita was also a member of the Senior Sizzles Bowling Team. Anita was the beloved wife of the late Michael, Loving mother of Michael, of Philadelphia, Steven (Davida), of California and the late Nancy Galan and William Galan. She is also survived by Two Grandchildren, two Great Grandchildren, six nieces and two nephews. A public visitation from 10 to 11 AM, and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, both on Friday, November 5th, 2021 at Our Lady of Consolation Church 7056 Tulip St. Philadelphia, PA. 19135 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Lafayette, 8580 Verree Road, Philadelphia, 19111 Interment will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
