Ann E. 'Nancy' Burns

Ann Elizabeth "Nancy" (Hissner) Burns passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 76. Mrs. Burns was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. Nancy was a homemaker whose greatest joy was taking care of her grandchildren. Born in Philadelphia, PA on September 4, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jane V. (Leightham) Hissner. She was the wife of the late Francis J. "Irish" Burns, who died in July of 2008. Surviving are her loving family including four sons, Frank J. Burns, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Havertown, PA, David D. Burns and his wife, Lisa of King of Prussia, PA, Michael R. Burns and his wife, Mary Lynn of W. Norriton, PA and Tim D. Burns and his wife, Severine of King of Prussia, PA; a daughter, Kathy Ann DeSimone and her husband, Sal of Bridgeport, PA; ten grandchildren: Meghan, Maura, Cara, David, Kelly, Matt, Tina, Jenny, Jessica and Jacquelyn; two brothers, Albert Hissner of Somers Point, NJ and Curt Hissner and his wife, Barbara of Bridgeport, PA; a sister, Margaret McTamney and her husband, Daniel of Jeffersonville, PA; and many nephews and nieces.She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Burns, a brother, Robert Hissner and a sister, Joan Coscia.Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 10:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. John T. Conway, Pastor. Nancy's viewings are Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30pm and Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:20am, both at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St.,(Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405.
