Anna Boccella

Anna (Venezia) Boccella passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at her residence in Bridgeport, PA. She was 79. Mrs. Boccella was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed sewing and knitting. Anna also liked cooking, baking, gardening and watching movies. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Anna was very much loved by the entire Boccella family. Born in Atripalda, Italy on October 19, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Andoinetta (Rulo) Venezia. She was the wife of the late Sammuel Boccella, who died in 1996. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Michael V. (Kara) Boccella of Santa Monica, CA; two daughters, Carmela A. “Lina” (Steven) Zameito of Collegeville, PA and Josephine A. “Josie” (Jerry) Kester of Downingtown, PA; nine grandchildren: Steven, Lauren & Nicholas Zameito; Madison & Samuel Kester; and Avery, Dominic, Griffin and Riley Boccella; a sister, Lena Romano of Italy; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Andonio, Rafaele, Giacuamo, Carmine and Enrico; and a sister, Concetta. Relatives & friends are invited to Anna’s Funeral Mass at Visitation B.V.M. Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Trooper, PA on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 am. Her viewing will be Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 am, at the church. Entombment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
