Anna Marie (Solick) Grossman passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at her residence in Wayne, PA with her loving husband by her side. Anna Marie was a longtime resident of Wayne and a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia.
Born in Summit Hill, PA on July 13, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Jean (Pogwist) Solick. In 1958, Anna Marie graduated High School and joined the Bernadine Sisters at Mount Alvernia Convent in Reading, PA. During her time in the sisterhood, she studied music education, piano, and voice at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree. Anna Marie left the Bernadine Sisterhood after about 10 years and taught in Maryland before finding her final home in Upper Merion Township, where she taught at Upper Merion School District for many years. She married the love of her life, Richard L. Grossman, in 1979 and the two have spent 46 wonderful years together.
Anna Marie had many interests including calligraphy, cake decorating, music, ballet, and traveling. She particularly loved traveling to and driving around France, having French as a second language. She enjoyed subscribing to the Metropolitan Opera, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Academy of Vocal Arts, the Pennsylvania Ballet, and BalletX. Music was a huge part of Anna Marie’s life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four step-children, Teri Grossman, Jeffrey Grossman (Patrice), Douglas Grossman, and Steven Grossman (Elizabeth); her sister, Margaret Ann Menconi (James); 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Anna Marie is preceded in death by her two brothers, Walter Solick and Michael Solick; and two sisters, Dolores Burton and Florence Filip.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd. King of Prussia, PA 19406 from 9:30am to 10:20am. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am. Inurnment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna Marie’s name to either BalletX at https://balletx.my.salesforce-sites.com/donate/?dfId=a0n5A00000R7A5MQAV& or to a charity of your choice.
