Anna 'Joan' (Skehill) Martin

Anna "Joan" (Skehill) Martin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. She was 78. Mrs. Martin was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a receptionist for Saint Gobain-Certain Teed in Devon, PA. Joan was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA. She was also an active member of the Upper Merion Twp. Senior Service Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 30, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Johanna (Doyle) Skehill. She was the wife of the late George W. Martin, Sr., who died in 2003. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, George W. Martin, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of King of Prussia, PA and Michael L. Martin and his wife, Lisa, of Collegeville, PA; five grand-children: Rebecca, Lauren, Kimberly, Chelsea and Lindsay; a great-grandson, Christopher; a sister, Catherine Mandia of King of Prussia, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hart.Relatives and friends are invited to Joan's Funeral Mass at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 464 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. James A. Lyons. Her viewing will be on Saturday morning from 9 to 10:20 am, at the church.
