Anthony Joseph Acerba

September 24, 1941 — March 13, 2020

Anthony Joseph Acerba passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2020 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 78. Anthony was a talented Graphic Designer and served in the Coast Guard Reserve. He really loved talking about those days! He was a devoted hockey fan, and especially enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Flyers. It wasn’t unusual to find him shouting words of encouragement at the players onscreen! He will be remembered for his unique dance moves at family gatherings. Always the life of the party, he would often lead the conga line at weddings and entertain the guests with his great sense of humor! In his younger days, he enjoyed spending time at the Brigantine shore barbecuing food, fishing out on the bay in his boat, and going to the beach with his grandchildren. Born in Philadelphia, PA on September 24, 1941, Anthony was the eldest son of the late Louis and Rose (Fulginiti) Acerba. He was a great big brother to his younger siblings; the late Louis Jr., and to Joseph and Richard. Surviving are his loving family, including his devoted wife of 54 years, Susan B. (Yetter) Acerba; daughter Suzanna (Acerba) Tavoletti and her husband, Donald; son Michael Acerba and his wife, Cathy; and four grandchildren: Ryan, Michael, Tiffany, and Nicole. Anthony will always be known for his kind, loving heart, his wonderful sense of humor and his fun-loving spirit. He truly loved and enjoyed his family and created many wonderful memories that will never be forgotten. Although we feel as if we lost one amazing individual, we know that heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Rest in peace, “Acerba Gazelle,” you are truly loved and will be sorely missed. Funeral Arrangements are private at the request of the family. Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA
