Anthony H. Carroll ‘Hank’ Anthony H. Carroll, 84, of Tacony, passed away Thursday, June 5th, 2014 peacefully, at the Philadelphia Protestant Home. Hank was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 24, 1929, a son of the late Anthony Henry Carrollo and Stella Dorothy (Sobotka). He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Columbus. He served as a Philadelphia Police Officer for 25 years before retiring in 1983, he was a member of St. Leo the Great Church, Knights of Columbus - Holmesburg Council #1284 and a member of Madison AA Club. Anthony was the widower of Jeanne R. (nee Klus), Loving Father of Paul J. (Janet), Robert A. (Sissy), Linda A. Roush (Mike), Nancy T. Long (Michael) and Jeanne M. Szyszko (John), He is the devoted Grandfather of 16 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Monday June 9, 2014 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday 8:30-9:30 AM at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA 19135. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church on Tuesday June 10, 2014 at 10 AM. His Interment will be at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
