Anthony “Tony” Castrovillo, 89, of Wildwood Crest, NJ and Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Born on September 23, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the cherished son of the late Sabia (DeMartino) and Frank Castrovillo.
Tony was the devoted husband of the late Nickolette “Nicci” Castrovillo, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Since her passing in 2007, he longed for the day they would be reunited—and now they are together once more.
A proud and dedicated retired electrician with Local Union 380, Tony took great pride in his craft and his union brothers.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, William, his daughter-in-law Lucia, and his two granddaughters, Alexandra and Alyssa, who brought immense joy to his life. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Angeline “Sissy” Zaffiri, who always held a special place in his heart.
Tony loved spending time at his Jersey Shore home, especially with his family. He enjoyed driving around in his car and sitting on his porch at the shore people watching, with a drink in his hand. Although they are almost extinct, he still enjoyed reading the newspaper. Let’s not forget the all importance of his weekly lottery tickets.
In honor of Anthony’s life and legacy, friends and family are invited to send flowers or make a donation to a charity of their choice.
