Anthony Salvatore Catagnus

Anthony Salvatore Catagnus, Sr. of Worcester, Pennsylvania, passed away at the age of 63, peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 at 7:41 pm. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, on December 17th, 1958, to the late Frederick Catagnus and Phyllis Vuotto.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Donna M. (nee Groves); 3 son’s, Anthony S. Jr. (Danielle), Andrew R. (Amanda) and Nicholas V. (Cara); 7 siblings, Maria (Jim), Debbie (Rob), Frederick, Vincent, Leslie, Nina and Felicia; 3 grandchildren, Thomas, Carmella and Lucciana. Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Phyllis, his brother Salvatore, and his sister Janet.

Anthony was a devoted family man, who loved to spend his time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and other close family members. Once a retired truck driver, Anthony transitioned his career into a self-taught general contractor with a natural talent. Anthony employed his sons with A.S. Catagnus & Sons General Contracting for many years and his sons were fortunate to learn much from his expertise. Anthony was a man of many values and had a niche for honesty and sarcasm.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:45 am followed by a Funeral Mass 11:00 am at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Road, Norristown, Pennsylvania, 19403. Interment will be private. Following the Funeral Mass, family and friends are invited to attend a luncheon at Westover Golf and Country Club at 401 S. Schyukill Avenue in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anthony’s name may be made to the COPD Foundation.
