Anthony John Cortellessa

Anthony John Cortellessa passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Parkhouse Nursing & Rehab Center in Royersford, PA. He was 88. Mr. Cortellessa was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a charter bus driver for Werner Bus Tours for many years. Anthony was active in the Prussians Soccer Club years ago. His favorite thing was spending time with his grandchildren. Born in Coatesville, PA on September 20, 1932, he was a son of the late Martin and Carmela (Aceto) Cortellessa. Sadly his mother passed away shortly after his birth and then he was raised by his father, Martin and Rose Cortellessa. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 67 years, Angela C. (Evangelista) Cortellessa, whom he married on May 7, 1955 at St. Donato’s Church in Philadelphia, PA; two sons, Anthony (Carol) Cortellessa and Michael (Erin) Cortellessa; two daughters, Catherine (Tom) Battaglio and Christina Cortellessa; six grandchildren: Barbara Jean (Matt), Tony and Kate Cortellessa; Nicole Battaglio; and Michael (Lauren) and Emma Cortellessa; one great-grandchild, Harmony and another one on the way; and a brother, Martin Cortellessa. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Martin Cortellessa and Karen Battaglio; and a sister-in-law, Jane Cortellessa. Funeral services and interment will be private.
