Anthony J. “Tony” Giangiulio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 88. Mr. Giangiulio was a resident of E. Norriton. He worked as a laborer for the Handy Haram Co. in E. Norriton, Kaiser Aluminum, and the former E.J. Lavino in Plymouth, PA. He also worked part time for the Philadelphia Inquirer. Anthony was a member of St. Titus Church in Norristown, PA, where he was an usher at Sunday Mass. He was a past president of the Local Steel Workers of America and a past treasurer of Local 7038 Steel Workers. Anthony was a US Army veteran of WW II. Born in Swedesburg, PA on July 6, 1927, he was a son of the late Carmine and Mary Grace (Benedetto) Giangiulio. Surviving is his loving family including a son, Dr. Jack R. Giangiulio and his wife, Lisa, of California; two daughters, Lorraine Santangelo of E. Norriton, PA and Mary Ellen Giangiulio of Collegeville, PA; three granddaughters: Stacey & Tara Santangelo and Mia Giangiulio; two great-granddaughters, Adrianna Wright and Sienna Stewart; a brother, William Giangiulio and his wife, Marion, of Norristown, PA; a sister, Sabina Venezia of Plymouth Twp., PA; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Joseph & Dominick; and a sister, Marie Natalini. Relatives & friends are invited to Anthony’s Funeral Mass at St. Titus Church, 3006 Keenwood Rd., Norristown, PA on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11:00 am. His viewing is Tuesday morning from 10 to 10:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, E. Norriton, PA.
