Anthony M. Storti

Anthony M. Storti passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. He was 94. Mr. Storti was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport PA. He worked as a sales associate for the former Gilberts Clothes of Norristown, PA and the former Continental Fiber Company in Bridgeport, PA. Anthony was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, where he was a Grand Marshall at their annual feast, and was an usher and collector for many years. He was also a life and honorary member of the St. Salvatore Society in Bridgeport, PA, where he was a past financial secretary. Uncle enjoyed cooking and baking, had a true love for animals and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Mr. Storti was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WW II, serving as a corporal in the European Theatre of Operations.Born in Bridgeport, PA on July 7, 1918, he was a son of the late Luigi and Maria M. (Boccella) Storti. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Ritrovato) Storti, who died in 1996. Surviving is his loving family including two brothers, Samuel Storti and his wife, Margaret, of Trooper, PA and Felix Storti and his wife, Mary Emma, of Norristown, PA; two sisters-in-law, Edith Filandino and Helen Mardi; nieces, Lenora Mardi-Bukata, Joanne Mardi and Rosanne Mardi-Kingkiner; many other nephews and nieces; and many great-nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Pasquale; and a sister, Rose Storti. Relatives & friends are invited to Anthony's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:30 am. There will be no viewing.
