Anthony V. Balsano

Anthony V. Balsano, 77 years old, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Anthony was a longtime resident of King of Prussia, PA and was formerly from Charleroi, PA and Northfield, NJ.

Anthony was a proud United States Army Veteran, who served in Vietnam. In 1970, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from California University of Pennsylvania. He started his career in Casino Hotel Management and later worked as an Environmental Services Manager in Philadelphia. He was very active in his community, serving on the board of the Upper Merion Senior Service Center and a trustee of LAM Valley Forge Lodge 1776 Sons & Daughters of Italy. Anthony made friends everywhere he went. His love of music, from doo wop to rock and roll, was apparent from all the concerts he attended and just going out dancing with Noreen. He never forgot his Pittsburgh roots, from the sports teams to the small-town western Pennsylvania culture.

Born in North Charleroi, PA on January 26, 1948, he was a son of the late Vito and Emily (Cantoni) Balsano.

Surviving is his loving family including his beloved wife of 54 years, Noreen (Pennline) Balsano; his daughter, Carmela Martin (Jon); son, Dominic Balsano (Meghan Lochner); brother, H. Frank Balsano; four grandchildren, Anthony Martin, Marianna Martin, Daniel Balsano, and Haley Davis; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Anthony’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10am to 12pm, with Words of Remembrance beginning at 12pm. Inurnment will be private for the family.
