Antoinette J. (Celenza) Perry

Antoinette J. (Celenza) Perry passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2010 at St. Barnabas Nursing Home in Gibsonia, PA. She was 88. Mrs. Perry is formerly of King of Prussia, PA. She worked with her late husband, Walter at their family business, the former Perry's Delicatessen in King of Prussia, PA, for many years. She was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church, King of Prussia and was in the Church Choir and the Church's Women's Guild, serving as their President. Mrs. Perry was the former Treasurer of the LAM-Valley Forge Lodge 1776 Sons of Italy, sponsored exchange students from Chile and India, volunteered at - Conestoga High School, was a member of the Glenhardie Garden Club and volunteered for the American Cancer Society Rediscovery Shop. Born in Vasto, Italy on January 21, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Charina (DiFabio) Celenza. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Perry in 2002. Surviving are her loving family including two daughters, Barbara P. Stewart and her husband, Grant of Sewickley, PA and Kathryn R. Schlesman and her husband, John J. Sr., of Greensburg, PA; two grandchildren John J. Jr., his wife, Kresta, and Jennifer L. Schlesman; three great-grandchildren: Adria, Ty and Chase Schlesman; a brother, Louis Ruggieri of Wayne, Pa; and many nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas Celenza.Antoinette's Funeral Mass will be held at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:00am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion Twp., PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Antoinette's name to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15135.
