Arlene Joy Freitag

Arlene Joy (nee Munter) Freitag passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Brandywine Living in Phoenixville, PA. She was 95. Mrs. Freitag was a former resident of Sun City, AZ and Omaha, NE. Arlene was a deeply spiritual woman who helped many through their life's trials. Most important to Arlene was her 72 year love affair she shared with her beloved Husband Merle.

Born in Coleridge, Nebraska on August 31, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie (nee Bayne) Munter. Arlene was the beloved wife of the late Merle Richard Freitag who passed away in 2021.

Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Kenneth Freitag and his wife, Carol and Steven Freitag and his wife, Vienna; two grandchildren, Bryan Freitag and Lindsey Freitag; a brother, James Munter (Barbara); two sisters, Avis Anderson and Iris Herse; a niece, Danielle Mauser (Kent); as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified.
