Arthur Carl Gwin, Sr.

Arthur Carl Gwin, Sr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning, February 25, 2020, at his residence in Exton, PA, at the age of 72. Mr. Gwin worked as a train engineer for Conrail for over 35 years. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era stationed in Puerto Rico and traveling to many European and Mediterranean countries during his service. Arthur Sr. enjoyed telling jokes, studying physics, watching movies and sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles. He found the greatest happiness spending time with his family and extended family. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 6, 1947, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Renée (née Rodan), as well as his children, Renée (Erik) Guie, Arthur Jr. (Courtney), and John. He is also survived by his loving mother, Ruth (née Behr), his four grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Gwin. A private graveside service was held at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
