Assunta "Sue" M. Defelice

Assunta M. “Sue” (Mastermarino) DeFelice passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. She was 99. Mrs. DeFelice was a former long-time resident of Conshohocken, PA. She worked in production for the former Carousel Greeting Cards in Norristown, PA. Sue was a member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown and a former member of SS. Cosmas & Damian Church in Conshohocken. Born in Norristown, PA on August 23, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Sally (Leonardo) Mastermarino, and the wife of the late Michael DeFelice, who died in 2009. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Michael J. (Deborah) DeFelice; a daughter, Elaine M. (J. Daniel) Gansz; 5 grandchildren: Maria (Jeffrey), J. Daniel (Donna), Michael (Becca), Gregory (Victoria) and Gina; 7 great-grandchildren: Amber, Austin, Aidan, Nicco, Mia, Lexie and Matthew; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carmen; and 3 sisters: Angeline Carbo, Eleanor Pascale & Josephine Breida. In addition to the love and dedication Sue had for her family and friends, she had a gift for working with her hands. She knitted and crocheted beautiful articles of clothing such as baby and throw blankets and ponchos. Many of the blankets were made and donated to babies and elderly folks in need. Relatives & friends are invited to Sue’s viewing at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown, PA on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 9 to 9:45 am; with her Funeral Mass starting at 10:00 am. Entombment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Norriton Twp., PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sue’s memory to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F Kennedy Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103 and/or the Senior Adult Activities Center of Montgomery County, 536 George St., Norristown, PA 19401.
