Helen “Audrey” (McDade) Bolger passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 86. Audrey was a founding member of Mother of Divine Providence Church and worked in the schools Learning Center. Audrey was an artist, realizing her gift of expressing herself through art as a child, she mastered the medium of water color. She somehow found a way to paint the beauty around her even while on vactaion with her 6 young children. Her pieces won many awards. Audrey enjoyed traveling with her sister and their respective husbands seeing all of our country’s great beauty. Her grandparents owned a summer house in Ocean City, NJ and each summer the entire family and eventually the extended family reaching 26, spent precious time on the beach, Boardwalk, and lingering well into the evenings on those big open porches in Ocean City, NJ. Audrey was a great cook and she insisted on her family having meal time together. She learned how to drive at 55, and instilled the mantra of “continuous improvement”. Born in Conshohocken, PA, on January 6, 1930, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Hickey) McDade. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 65 years, John W. Bolger Jr.; her children, Rosemary Bolger and her husband, Roland Findlay, John W. Bolger III and his wife, Brenda, Patrick Bolger and his wife, Peggy, Lisa McComb and her husband, Shawn, Jeanne Cole and her husband, Royal, and James Bolger and his wife, Eileen; 13 grandchildren, Mary Beth Sisti, Heather Buchma, John “Jack” Bolger, Timothy Bolger, Nathaniel, Kyle and Garrett McComb, Ryan, Allison, Laura and Julia Cole, and Kieran and Lindsay Bolger; a sister, Mary “Molly” Gavanus; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Bolger; and a brother, James McDade. Audrey’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. Audrey’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 and Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:15 am, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School, 405 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
