Barbara Ann A. Mcfadden

Barbara Ann McFadden (nee Welsh), 79, of Warrington, PA, formerly of Germantown, born and raised in South Philadelphia, went home to the Lord peacefully on Friday, January 15th, 2021 while in the company of her family, at Artis Memory Care, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Barbara was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Ruth (Lees) and James Welsh. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James (Jim), and her two loving daughters, Janet, wife of Brian Scanlon and Joanne, wife of Ronald Rosenthal. She is the devoted Grandmother of Brian, Erin, Melanie, Ryan, Bridget, Megan, Maura and Tyler; and Great Grandmother of Paris & Kennedy. Barbara is also survived by her dear sisters, Rosemarie Patti and Jayne Smith, her brother, Francis Welsh, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was employed as a Legal Secretary for 40 years at various law firms in center city Philadelphia. She had a great love for music and dance and was affectionately known as “Dancing Barb” by her Artis family. The family wishes to acknowledge the great care she received while she resided at Artis and express their deepest gratitude. Public Viewing will be held 9 AM to 9:50 AM and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, both on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church 1500 Marian Rd. in Abington, PA.
