Barbara Bores

Barbara (Balza) Bores passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at King of Prussia Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was 81. Barbara was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a former member of St. Augustine R.C. Church. She received her Master’s in Library Sciences at Villanova University and her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. Barbara was a Librarian at Villanova University for over 23 years. Barbara also was the former Librarian at St. Augustine-OLMC Elementary School. She enjoyed volunteering with the Red Cross and was active in many Pro-Life Activities.

Born in Appleton, Wisconsin on February 26, 1942, Barbara was a daughter of the late Henry and Irmgard Florence (Schuerle) Balza.

Surviving is her loving family including her husband, Robert J. Bores, with whom she celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on August 24, 2023; a son, James R. Bores; a daughter, Beth A. (Joseph) Stalker; 6 grandchildren: Sofia Bores, Valentina Bores, Carmen Stalker, John Stalker, Karina Stalker and Thomas Stalker; a great grandchild: Alessia Price and another great grandchild due in November.

Relatives and friends are invited to Barbara’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Wednesday October 4, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00pm, and on Thursday morning from 9:15 to 10:15am at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St. Bridgeport, PA, with her Funeral Mass starting at 10:30am. Interment will be at St. Augustine Mausoleum King of Prussia, PA.
