Barbara "Corkey" A. Pennock

Barbara “Corkey” A. (Wertz) Pennock passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at her residence in Bridgeport, PA. She was 84 years old. Corkey was a longtime resident of Bridgeport and she worked at The Depot Bar in Bridgeport for over 20 years. She loved dancing, watching movies, and all animals. She especially loved all the dogs and cats she cared for over the years.

Born in Conshohocken, PA on September 6, 1940, she was a daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Pitz) Wertz.

Corkey is survived by her loving family including her three grandchildren, Toni Sambrick, Michael P. Rockett, Jr., and Francis D. Sambrick; a brother, Daniel Wertz; three sisters, Dorothy Bigoney, Evelyn Filando (Bill), and Teresa Killian; daughter-in-law, Carmelina Stout; as well as many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Sambrick; two sons, Leonard “Guy” Selvoski and Kevin Selvoski; a sister, Joan Hughes; and two brothers, Francis Wertz and James Wertz.
