Barbara A. Hamill

Barbara Ann (Klein) Hamill passed away October 13, 2026, at the age of 91 after a long and fulfilling life. Barbara was born on August 4, 1935, in New York City to Austin and Margaret (Cokeley) Klein. She graduated high school from the Villa Maria Academy in The Bronx, NY, and graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a degree in mathematics.

Barbara met her future husband, Ronald Hamill, on a blind date, while in her freshman year of college. They were married shortly after her graduation in 1957 and began her life as a young mother in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

She was very involved in her young children's lives, serving as a home room mother, and attending countless parent/teacher conferences. She was active with girl scouts and cub scouts, serving more than once as "cookie mom", filling her dining room with hundreds of boxes of cookies.

Barbara was a very active member of Mother of Divine Providence parish in King of Prussia. She served as vice president and treasurer of the Women's Guild, was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society, and served on the organizing committee of the Craft Fair and Christmas Bazaar for many years.

Once her children were older, she returned to the work force, serving as manager of the Upper Merion Township Credit union for over 30 years.

She was an avid bowler, holding many offices in her various leagues. She loved to play bridge, hosting duplicate and ladies bridge with her many friends. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casinos for the slots. She created beautiful counted cross stich, creating pieces for various life events. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy! But most of all, she enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren, and many good friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ron, with whom she enjoyed 47 years of marriage. She is survived by her wonderful children, Jeanne (Richard) Matias, Peter (Yvonne), William (Patrice), Stephen and Beth. Her family joy expanded when she became a grandmother to Peter Jr (Lindsey), Brittany (Kirill), Timothy (Kristen), Alissa, Anna, Vince (Lorena), and Austin, and a great grandmother to Brooklyn, Cal, and Kai.

Relatives and friends are invited to Barbara's viewing at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406, on Monday October 19, from 9:00-10:15am, followed by her funeral mass at 10:30am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
