Barbara J. Peterman

Barbara J. (Epps) Peterman passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA. She was 77. Barbara was the ultimate caregiver to anyone who needed her help, she was “our amazing grace”. Barbara was a member of the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge, PA, the American Revolution Museum in Philadelphia, and the Valley Forge Park Alliance. She was an avid hiker and sang with her husband in the Valley Forge Chorale.

Born in Ardmore, PA on December 30, 1946, Barbara was a daughter of the late Elliott G. and Clara H. (Stuart) Epps.

Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 52 years, Kirk W. Peterman; her children, Sheila Luke and her husband, Lee, William Peterman and his wife, Heather, Jennifer DeStefano and her husband, Michael, and Kelly Cole and her husband, Samuel; 7 grandchildren: Elliott, Zachary, Michael, Cameron, Emma, Henry, and Charlotte; a great-granddaughter, Cassandra; a sister, Cynthia Lobb and many other loving family members.

She is preceded in death by her siblings: James, Ted, William, Martha Fitzpatrick, Gordon, Mary Baker, Ruth Lee Richardson, Sarah Kotulka, and Tom.

Barbara’s family will receive relatives and friends at Washington Memorial Chapel, 2000 Valley Forge Park Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 10AM to10:50AM, with her Funeral Service starting at 11:00AM. Inurnment will be in Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
