Barbara R. Levering

Barbara R. Levering passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill, PA. She was 82. Barbara was a previous resident of Worcester, PA. She worked as a clerk for the State of Pennsylvania. Barbara was a former member of the Fairview Village Church of the Nazarene. She was a former organist at Hart’s United Methodist Church in Elk Neck, MD and for different chapters in the O.E.S., and she played the piano for the Norristown Garden Club. Barbara was also a member of the Norristown Garden Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, a past Matron of the Radiant Chapter #96 of the Order of the Eastern Star (O.E.S.), and an auxilary member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 20, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Mildred R. (Stohman) Levering. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, William David O’Donnel and Mark Sean O’Donnel, both of Norristown, PA; and two grandsons, William David O’Donnel, III and Justin Lee O’Donnel. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Rea Hontz. Barbara’s Memorial Service will be held at the Masonic Village Auditorium, 801 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444 on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 10 to 10:50 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Program at the Maple Valley Community Center, 22010 SE 248th St., Maple Valley, WA 98038.
