Barbara J. (Arnold) Nelson

Barbara Jean (Arnold) Nelson, 85, of King of Prussia, a homemaker, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Meadowood Retirement Community in Worcester, PA. Born in Hornell, NY, Mrs. Nelson graduated from Hornell High School and attended Alfred University in Alfred, NY, where she met her husband, Robert E. Nelson.A lifelong reader, she enjoyed books on psychic phenomenon, survival at sea, medicine, true crime, and light romances with happy endings. Other favorite activities included gardening, spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating new inventions using household materials, shopping, and watching Jeopardy, Lawrence Welk, and the Fox News Channel.Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Pauline Arnold; her husband, Robert, who passed away in 1992; three children, Susan Nelson, Mark Nelson, and Eric Nelson; and two sisters, Nancy Borrelli and Mary Ridenour. She is survived by three sons: Peter, Jim, and John; two daughters, Sally Mellow and Mary Jane Cortellessa; and six grandchildren.
