Barbara A. Watson, most recently of Doylestown, passed into eternal life while in hospice care in the Bensalem home of her daughter and son-in-law on Tuesday, March 1. She was 87. She was the proud mother of six, grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of five children. A stay-at-home mother while her children were young, she also enjoyed her years working for the former Strawbridge & Clothier department store. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Edward R. (Ron) Watson Sr. They grew up in the Olney section of Philadelphia. A daughter, Patricia A. Gaebel, also preceded her in death. Barbara is survived her children (and their spouses): E. Ron Watson Jr. (Diane) of Ottsville, PA; Vicki Pavlas of Philip, SD; Michael Watson (Cindy) of Huntingdon Valley, PA: Barbi Haffner (Steve) of Bensalem, PA; Maureen (Mark) McDermott of Chalfont, PA, and son-in-law Alan Gaebel of Doylestown, PA. Also surviving are grandchildren: Ron M., Justin (Kelli) and Rebecca Watson; Joe and Tom Pavlas; Jeff (Rajani) and Sara (Justin Prokop) Watson; Samantha (Frank) Giottini, Jake (Jessica) and Nick Greisiger; Steven (Jasmine) and Matt (Amanda Micalizzi) Haffner; and Katie, Kara and Kelly Gaebel. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth (Boyce) and Joseph DeLaurentis and her stepfather Charles Ball; stepsister Joan (Jim) Earls of Jersey City, NJ, and sister-in-law Gloria (Paul) Kennedy of Warminster, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday March 4, 2022 at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA, 19020. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 9:45 to 10:50 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA. Barbara's mass and interment will be live streamed.
