Benito J. “Ben” Cornacchio passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Suburban Community Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was 87. Mr. Cornacchio was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He graduated from Radnor High School in 1952 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Temple University in 1958. Ben was the owner and operator of Ben Cornacchio Builders, for 50 years, designing residential additions and houses. He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Sacred Heart Church, both in Bridgeport, PA. Ben was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as a Chaplain’s Assistant in France. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on March 7, 1934, he was a son of the late Berardo and Gilda (Quicci) Cornacchio. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 35 years, Christel (Bartsch) Cornacchio; two sons, Mark Cornacchio and Steven (Diana) Cornacchio; a step-son, John Backetti; three step-daughters: Donna Statuti, Angela (Tony) Differ and Regina (Brad) Wannemacher; a grandson, E.J. Backetti (Danielle Gambone); a great-granddaughter, Gianna Backetti; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Larcinese) Cornacchio; grandson, Timothy Wannemacher; brother, Enzo Cornacchio; and sister, Angie Cornacchio. Relatives & friends are invited to Ben’s viewings at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 6 to 8:00 pm; also at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday the 20th from 9:30 to 10:15 am. His Funeral Mass will start at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
